During 2023, UEFA Foundation for Children has not only supported Development Center for Youth through granting the project “Creating Life Champions”, but also with a significant donation in the form of sports equipment and props.

The donation, consisting of t-shirts, caps, backpacks, balls, water bottles and other important sports equipment was taken over by Veljko Avramović, program assistant, on behalf of the Association, and represents a significant contribution to the constant work on improving the training conditions for children and youth, current and future participants of the concept of Life Champions.

In order to make the equipment available and contribute to development of as many local clubs as possible, and therefore children, youth and coaches of the same, Development Center for Youth will implement further distribution of equipment in cooperation with the clubs-partners on the project, but also in smaller communities with the aim of giving contribution to development of basic sports and sports for all.

On Friday, September 22 program coordinator Aleksandra Knežević handed over the first part of donated equipment to the partner from Velika Gorica, the football club HNK Gorica. On that occasion, she had a conversation with Marko Radanić, head of the football school and coach of the U19 team about further activities on the project “Creating Life Champions”.

“Besides we had the opportunity to please the club with a piece of equipment, the joint commitment to strengthening women’s football and the inclusion of a larger number of girls in the concept from the next year has been confirmed, which makes us particularly happy. We consider this visit particularly significant because there has been a talk about the coaches’ participation in the study visit to Strumica, as well as other activities that will follow until the end of the current year”, said Aleksandra Knežević after the visit.

The concept “Creating Life Champions” is developed in partnership with 18 actors from the sports, educational and youth sector from 8 participating countries (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Croatia, Montenegro, Portugal, Bulgaria, Turkiye and Greece), with the direct support of the European Union through the ERASMUS+ program in the field of sports and the UEFA Foundation for Children, to which we would like to express our special thanks for the equipment they donated to us.
