Belgrade hosts the Life Champions

After the regional tour which included the presentation of the concept in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia and Montenegro, consortium of the project “Creating Life Champions” held an info day in Belgrade as well.

New/old partnership, new adventure!

Development Center for Youth proudly presents another partnership and set of activities it will be working on over the next 12 months with 17 different actors across Europe. TUNE – Transnational United Network in Europe (TUNE – Transnational United Network in Europe), whose coordinator is the association United Societies of Balkans (USB) from Greece, in cooperation with other partners, will hold over 50 info sessions and thus involve as many people as possible in development and consultations in connection with the European strategy for youth, but also other significant processes that young Europeans can be a part of if they have enough information and desire to become socially active.

Montenegro meets the Life Champions

After Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Macedonia, it was Montenegro’s turn to learn more on life champions! Consortium of the project “Creating Life Champions” organized an Info day in cooperation with the football club Breznica from Pljevlja in order to present the ideas and plans of the concept of life champions, but also to jointly determine the modalities for further cooperation and joining of the first Montenegrin club to the project.

Embrace for student of medical sciences

Activists of Development Center for Youth, Katarina Eger and Veljko Avramović held another workshop on the topic of green politics as part of the project “Environmental Mobility By Raising Awareness on Changing our Earth – EMBRACE” whose coordinator is USB organization from Greece. The workshop itself aimed to introduce young people to the concepts of ecology and sustainable development, this time at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade.

Life Champions came to Veles too

The first info day dedicated to the new Life Champions concept line – creation of the female Life Champions was held in Veles, organized by the Union Center for Education and Training (UCET) from Skopje and ŽFK Borec from Veles, precisely on the International Day of Sport also known as a Challenge Day.

Life Champions presented to the citizens of Velika Plana

Life Champions concept had its premiere in Velika Plana, at the initiative of the “Despot” football school, which, apart from the sports development of children and young people, pays great attention to their daily education and proper guidance in and through sports.

Velika Gorica in the colors of Life Champions

Consortium of the project “Creating Life Champions”, led by coordinator Aleksandra Knežević, visited Velika Gorica (Croatia) on March 31, as part of a regional tour that is realized with the support of the UEFA Foundation for Children.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is the first one marked by the Life Champions

Sarajevo and Doboj are the first cities that hosted the Life Champions team on the regional tour of presenting concept and activities for 2023 and 2024. On that occasion, over 200 children, parents and coaches learned in detail about the plans for the future – new free camps for children, training and study visits for coaches of younger categories and meetings of different formats for parents.

Development Center for Youth will be a part of another important European project, this time focusing on youth activism and participation through the prism of trade union acting. As a partner, we will support our long-lasting collaborator Trade Union of UPOZ from Skopje in their efforts to make young trade union activists more active and engaged, both in their trade unions and the society in general.

Final conference of the project “Environmental Mobility By Raising Awareness on Changing our Earth – EMBRACE” is held in the period February 8-11 in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon, Vietnam), bringing together representatives of partner organizations to jointly analyze realized activities and make plans for the future.
