“Creating Life Champions” project in its final phase involves expanding the concept to two new sports disciplines, but the young coaching team of the famous handball player Ratko Nikolić decided not to wait, and to start the initiative for establishing cooperation and joining activities much earlier.

That is exactly why Aleksandra Knežević, the project coordinator, visited Aranđelovac and demonstrated to the young handball players everything that had been done so far, presenting the new opportunities that lied ahead of them. “Our entry into the world of sports began with football, as the most popular sports discipline, but the topics we deal with are universal, and that is why I am happy that sixty kids from the world of handball with whom we spoke today showed an interest in them as well,” she said after sports day with children.

In the continuation of the visit, Aleksandra also held a focus group with the present handball coaches, with whom she has discussed the challenges that junior handball faces, all with the aim of preparing a joint application for the new call cycle within the ERASMUS+ program in the field of sports.

New initiatives are implemented with the support of AMS Osiguranje a.d.o., one of the strategic partners of Development Center for Youth in presenting and spreading the concept of Life Champions on the territory of Serbia and region-wide.
