Development Center for Youth hosted on October 12-14, 2018 representatives of the Trade Union of Administration of the Republic of Serbia, Trade Union of Administration of Republika Srpska, Trade Union of Administration and Justice of Montenegro and the Trade Union of UPOZ of Macedonia, as part of the consultations and preliminary activities for implementation of the project “Rights at Work, Work on Rights”, which should start officialy on Mid-November 2018.
On July 8, a one-day panel discussion “Open on the future of Serbian-Romanian cooperation” was successfully held in Timisoara, within the project “Roads of Dositej Obradović – promotion of Serbian language and culture in Timisoara”, approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and the Serbs from the region.
On July 8, 2018, the first one in a series of activities within the project “Following the roads of Dositej Obradovic: promotion of Serbian Language and Culture in Timisoara” will be held – panel discussion “Open on the future of Serbian-Romanian cooperation”.
In Belgrade from June 6 to 10, the initial training was held in the framework of the project “Active Youth-Step Ahead to Joint Changes”, which brought together 30 youth activists, as well as civil servants dealing with youth from Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Kosovo*, Macedonia, Slovakia, Croatia and Montenegro.
In the middle of the preparations for the upcoming activities within the project “Active Youth – Step Ahead to Joint Changes”, another good news has arrived!
Young people must have the opportunity to lead changes within their own communities. They have to understand and defend their rights and take lead roles in a community life that will allow them and us to shape our environment according to our needs and imagination. YOUTH ACTIVISM is the main concept for advocating for the change we want to see. It is very important that young creativity, inspiration and active participation in all aspects of life tailor community and the world according to desired standards and needs.
On April 13, 2018, a preparatory meeting was held in Sarajevo on the occasion of the official launch of a joint project “Active Youth – Step Ahead to Joint Changes”, supported by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe.
The project “Active Youth-Step Towards Joint Changes” officially started with the implementation on April 1, 2018, and it will be implemented by Development Center for Youth in cooperation with the following partners: associations YouthWatch from Slovakia, Intermedia from Serbia, COSMO from Montenegro and Institute for Youth Development KULT from Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the support of the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe.
