More workshops in BIH

Peer educator Jovana Komlenić has introduced the Trade union organization of the Public Institution of Employment Institute of Republika Srpska to the project “Rights at Work, Work on Rights” under the Erasmus+ programme, at the workshop conducted on August 23 in premises of PIEI RS – Banja Luka branch.

Jovana has transferred to her colleagues gained knowledge on human rights, with the focus on labor rights of youth, phenomena endangering them and mechanisms of protection.

During discussion, the accent was put on violation of labor rights, as well as unrespecting of general and specific laws that arrange labor-law field. Participants were mostly interested in mechanisms of protection, especially due to fact that have not had proper opportunity to hear about them before.

Workshop has caused positive reaction of participants and has increased interest for labor rights, which are one of basic human rights, so some of them have shown the interest in learning more about the topic and transferring their knowledge further on.

“Only united and equipped with knowledge we can protect our rights” has been the main message from the workshop.
