Workshops within the project “Extraordinary work in extraordinary situation” are progressing well
Participants of the project “Extraordinary work in extraordinary situation” diligently conduct workshops intended for their target groups. During the training in October, representatives of 12 civil society organizations have prepared activities that can be implemented in specific circumstances, and now apply what they have learned in a practical way.
Throughout this process, 24 participants have support of the project mentoring team in order to implement better their activities. Most of them have decided to work on the Internet, because this way of acting proved to be the most applicable during the specific situations such as the one caused by COVID-19 pandemic.
Diversity of participants in the initial training of the project also contributed to diversity of target groups during the workshops, and all of them have in common that they are young – activists, trade union members, athletes, and many others whose daily lives are enriched with different content, appropriate to their field and age. One thing is for sure – the message has been sent and the idea put into practice, and it has been proven that – civil society organizations can and must act no matter how specific the situation is.
Next phase is the consultative meeting of participants and project team in order to summarize impressions from the field, and in the meantime a tutorial “Truths and illusions about the work of CSOs in extraordinary circumstances” will be prepared. The project lasts until January 2021, and is implemented with the support of the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe.
