We continue to expand the Life Champions family

Consortium representatives Božo Marić and Siniša Ćerketa, led by the coordinator of the project “Creating Life Champions” Aleksandra Knežević, visited Laktaši responding positively to the club’s initiative to join the concept of life champions.

In addition to the delivery of sports equipment intended for the youth section of FC Laktaši, a constructive meeting was held with the club representatives on the possibility of joining the club to further project activities.

On that occasion, it was especially emphasized that the concept of creating life champions through sports is something that all clubs should strive for, regardless of the sports discipline, country or competition rank, and that the consortium would support all clubs that show that they have the will and desire to apply new methods in work with younger categories, as it was the case with FC Laktaši.

Igor Radeljić  director of the football club Laktaši expressed great satisfaction with the open access of the consortium, pointing to development potential of the idea within the club, and the readiness of the entire management, coaches and young football players to become an active part of all subsequent activities.

In addition to the donated equipment, representatives of the club will have the opportunity to participate in the meeting of coaches of younger categories, which will be held on November 8-10 in the House of Football, Stara Pazova, and then in all those that are planned for 2024.

“Our goal for the concept is to continue expanding and strengthening, so that the message reaches as many children, coaches and parents as possible. In the upcoming period, we will join a larger number of clubs, focusing on those who are truly ready to apply the ideas and methods of the concept of life champions in their work”, said Aleksandra Knežević after the meeting.

Project “Creating Life Champions” currently gathers 9 clubs from 7 different countries, including Serbia, Croatia, Turkey, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as representatives of the sports sector. In the coming period, expansion of the project is planned, especially through the inclusion of girls and young women and development of female life champions, which will contribute to the further promotion of gender equality in and through sports. This project is implemented with the support of the ERASMUS+ program in the field of sports and the UEFA Foundation for Children.
