Subotica against peer violence
After the successful launch of the project „Life Champions against Peer Violence”, which brought together 30 participants from various sports structures, Development center for youth continues with the implementation of planned activities. The first local action was implemented on December 19 in Subotica, in cooperation with the football school “SU TEAM“.
During the activity, coaches from football school were informed about the concept and forms of peer violence, as well as support mechanisms, while the practical part of the training took place on the football field, where coaches implemented gained knowledge through educational games.
After successful implementation of the activity in Subotica, the project “Life Champions against Peer Violence” continues throughout Serbia. The next planned activities will be held in Raška, Kuršumlija, Belgrade, Smederevo and Niš, where sports coaches will continue to work on empowering young people and raising awareness about the importance of preventing peer violence through sport.
The project “Life Champions against Peer Violence” is supported by the Cabinet of the Minister without Portfolio in charge of coordinating activities in the field of gender equality, preventing violence against women and economic and political empowerment of women.
