A young educator from the Trade Union of UPOZ of North Macedonia held a workshop for colleagues
On August 26, Martin Antevski, a member of the Trade Union of UPOZ Youth Section, held a workshop within the Erasmus+ project “Rights at Work, Work on Rights”, with the participation of young members of the trade union organization of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of North Macedonia.
During this workshop, participants have been introduced to the basic purpose of the trade union work and how it functions, in order to get a real picture of role of the trade union in promotion and protection of young workers’ rights firstly. In addition, Martin Antevski presented the results of a national survey conducted within the project “Are you familiar with your labor rights”, which was carried out on a sample of more than 200 young civil servants.
In continuation, participants discussed specific examples of violations of labor rights of young employees in public prosecutor’s offices, new changes to the law affecting employees of public prosecutor’s offices, as well as further activities of the trade union organization within the presented project.
The aim for the coming period is to increase the visibility of the Trade Union of UPOZ Youth Section in order to reach more young workers and encourage them to join the trade union in creating better working conditions for young people, as well as all other colleagues in work environment.
