Young enthusiasts together for a environment
In the period from October 21 to 28, 40 young people gathered in Kruševo, North Macedonia, in order to jointly, through a carefully designed seven-day program, strengthen their knowledge and skills necessary for success in the modern world, with a focus on encouraging changes in behavior towards more sustainable lifestyles and stimulating a sense of collective responsibility for the health of the planet Earth.
Young people from Serbia, Croatia, North Macedonia, Greece, Bulgaria and Romania had the opportunity to develop their interpersonal skills, including the skills of team building and coping in a new environment, through fun interactive workshops, as well as various other team games and exercises. The organization of various fun outdoor adventures, intercultural evenings, as well as a tour of the beautiful nature that adorns this city, inspired our participants to enjoy every moment, thus gaining lifelong friendships.
Creative workshops were conducted with a focus on 4 key areas: 1) Biodiversity, 2) Human impact on the environment, 3) Nature and air pollution and 4) Recycling. By addressing these topics, the project seeks to inspire behavioral change, encouraging participants to critically examine their behavior and consumption patterns, all with the goal of caring for the environment.
Aware of the importance of strengthening the capacity of young people and developing their competences in the field of ecology and sustainable development, Development Center for Youth, in cooperation with the CET platform organization from North Macedonia as the project coordinator, is part of the project called “Eco(logical) youth” which is supported by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union, National Office for North Macedonia.
