Palić hosts the International Training “Youth Participation, Civic Engagement and Community Action”

Palić is hosting the international training course “Youth Participation, Civic Engagement and Community Action” from 30 June to 5 July 2026, implemented within the transnational European TUNE Network. This year’s host organisation is Development Center for Youth, which is honoured to welcome participants from nearly 20 European countries.

Over six days, Palić becomes a meeting point for young people, youth workers, and organisations working together on topics related to active youth participation in democratic processes, civic engagement, and community development.

The training programme includes interactive workshops, simulations, teamwork, and practical activities through which participants develop knowledge and skills in democratic participation, functioning of institutions, civic activism, digital engagement, advocacy, project development, and designing innovative solutions to challenges in their communities.

A key value of the programme lies in international cooperation and exchange of experiences. Participants present their cultures and traditions, network with each other, build new partnerships, and lay the foundations for future joint European initiatives.

The training is part of the broader activities of the TUNE Network, whose 2026 priorities include strengthening youth participation in democratic processes, empowering young people for active community engagement, promoting inclusion and democratic values, and developing international cooperation among youth organisations.

Development Center for Youth is proud to host this important international programme this year. The event itself represents recognition of the Center’s work and an opportunity to present Serbia and Palić as a hub of international cooperation, knowledge exchange, and youth empowerment.

The TUNE Network is a transnational European network that brings together youth organisations from 16 European countries, working together to strengthen youth participation, civic engagement, and democratic values. The project is co-funded by the European Union and aims to empower young people through international cooperation, capacity building, and the development of innovative initiatives that promote active citizenship and community involvement, and Development Center for Youth also has its elected representative on the TUNE Coordination Board through the active participation of Veljko Avramović in its work.
